Slash Film just reported April 23 that after Furious 7's resounding success, a new high speed film starring family and barbecues will follow in a couple of years.
After grossing a billion dollars and counting with Furious 7, [Vin Diesel] took the stage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas and announced that a eighth Fast and Furious film will be released on April 14, 2017. Diesel said it'll be "the best movie you've ever seen."
Diesel had promised another sequel in the run up to the most recent's release, but it looks like that obvious business move might become a certainty.
With the death of one of its main stars, Paul Walker, surrounding the movie both on and off the screen, the franchise will have to move on to different parts of the beloved story. Diesel said earlier this month it would film in New York.
This guy. He's the writer, producer and reviewer all in one. He knows where the movie will shoot and that it will be the best thing you've seen before it's even written! He's a genius.
But this is surely great news for many, many people.
